I'm familiar with both and much happier in C#, but then my heritage is C++, so maybe that explains it. I also think that there's a lot more "hand-holding" for the VB .NET developer too, but let's not get in to that debate all over again ;)

I have used both languages, although I prefer the clean syntax of C#. There is really little difference between them other than syntax, and I believe the VB.NET exists solely to easy VB developers into the .NET world.

Having said that, the ability to select from a number of .NET languages is really a great feature of .NET when dealing with specialised application requirements. Cω(C-Omega) comes to mind.

i am learning vb.net at the moment. the only reason is that my first programming book was visual basic 3.
