@mcgurk - I've read about people being paid to do just what you describe, manually. Low pay, third-world country, of course (otherwise it wouldn't be cost effective).

Okay, there is some weird spam going on.

Accounts that appear to be real, but are most likely bots. They join, kick stories, add comments that are programming related gibberish, and submit stories that have relevant sounding details and completely unrelated links that go to actual programming sites.

Seriously, WTF.

Maybe as a way to keep the spam down on the site, prevent new users from submitting articles for 24 hrs after they've signed up?

You know that ie7 bug that bits the spy? The one where text doesn't get rendered? I recently hit on a way to repro it. Say you have a list like the spy, with each row consisting of a full width div containing two half width divs inside (one floating right or left to create two columns). If you place within the full width div after the two column divs a third div that has the style clear:both; it will cause that render bug to show.

Unfortunately, that's not what's going on in the spy.

Tell that to ASP.NET MVC Framework developers :)
