"Who's the random bombshell on the right? Was she photoshopped in?"

That's Microsoft's way of keeping Anders loyal. ;-)

Very cool. It's also a .NET 2.0 app, very nice, very polished.

Honestly, these "hey check out the C# 2 coalescing operator!!!!11" articles have to be the most common one to show up in blogs and most common story on .NET kicks. Ugh!

I don't think the "different language code files in same project" is a good idea. I think we'd see some bad abuses of that; a whole project should be of one language, IMO.

You guys should definitely check out the open source AForge.NET library he used to implement his little watter cannon.

I just tried it out and it absolutely rocks. Easy to use too. In about 20 minutes I built an app to monitor motion from my web cam and take photos while I'm gone. I'm planning on using it to scare the kids in the morning, scold the dog if he jumps up on the table, etc. Fun stuff!

Yes, I'd like to see IronPython and, when ready, IronRuby get the same 1st class .NET citizen treatment.

Really looking forward to this!

The mind behind PLINQ is CLR architect Joe Duffy, creator of the .NET thread pool.

Joe Duffy and C# creator Anders Hejlsberg were recently interviewed on Channel 9 regarding PLINQ and ParallelFX: http://channel9.msdn.com/showpost.aspx?postid=347531
